JONATHAN COHN is a senior national correspondent at HuffPost, where he covers politics and policy. A former senior editor at the New Republic, he has written for the New York Times, Atlantic, and Self, among others. He has won several awards and was called “one of the nation’s leading experts on health policy” by the Washington Post. A graduate of Harvard, Jonathan grew up in Florida and lived for years in the Boston area before moving to Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he lives with his family.
Sean Perryman has spent his entire life fighting for equity, fairness, and transparency in government. He is the youngest president in the 102-year history of the Fairfax County NAACP–the largest chapter in Virginia. As president, Sean was active in addressing issues of racism in Virginia public schools. He led the advocacy effort toward renaming Robert E. Lee High School in Springfield, Virginia to the John R. Lewis High School. He has been a leader on addressing the school to prison pipeline, affordable housing, and worker protections during the coronavirus pandemic. Sean is also a frequent speaker and author on race, equity, and police & criminal justice reform.
