He has previously been a New York Times contributing op-ed writer, CNN commentator, host for Huff Post, and co-host of Al Jazeera America’s The Stream. He is also a recovering attorney and playwright. He is currently working on his first book, “Go Back To Where You Came From: And, Other Helpful Recommendations on How to Become American” scheduled for Spring 2022 publication. Bush administration.

Bruce is the author of nine books including The New York Times best-seller, The Benefit and the Burden: Tax Reform—Why We Need It and What It Will Take (Simon & Schuster 2012). His earlier book, Impostor: How George W. Bush Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy (Doubleday 2006), was also a New York Times best-seller. Bartlett’s latest book is The Truth Matters: A Citizen’s Guide to Separating Facts from Lies and Stopping Fake News in Its Tracks (Ten Speed Press/Penguin Random House 2017).
